"We are not just supporting schools, we are building a foundation for long-term community transformation."
At the Center for Communities Development Actions (CeCoDA), we believe that every child deserves access to quality primary education that equips them with the skills to succeed in life.
Operating in Polokwane communities where educational inequality remains a significant challenge, CeCoDA delivers targeted, community-driven solutions that improve access, strengthen learning outcomes, and create safe and inclusive school environments.
A Polokwane where every child completes primary education with strong literacy, numeracy, and life skills in a safe and supportive environment.
Building foundations for life
To improve primary education outcomes through community engagement, strengthened school systems, and innovative learning support programs.
CeCoDA is a community-focused development organization working in Polokwane and surrounding areas to address systemic barriers affecting primary school education. Our work responds to real challenges faced by children, including overcrowded classrooms, limited learning resources, poverty-related absenteeism, and gaps in foundational literacy and numeracy.
Five strategic pillars guiding our work to transform primary education in Polokwane communities.
In many communities around Polokwane, children face barriers such as poverty, lack of school supplies, and limited parental support. CeCoDA identifies out-of-school children and works with families and schools to support enrollment and consistent attendance.
A significant number of learners in primary schools struggle with basic reading and mathematics. CeCoDA implements targeted interventions through structured reading programs, after-school support, and remedial classes to close learning gaps.
We provide training, mentorship, and practical tools that support learner-centered teaching and inclusive classroom management.
We strengthen relationships between schools and communities while promoting child protection and inclusion of vulnerable learners.
